Strahlenberg is closely linked to the fortunes of the noble Wedel family. The village was founded by the Wedels around 1300. As early as 1306, Hasso von Wedell sold seven hides of land in Strahlenberg to his vassal Christof Bolt, a citizen of Tütz. The purchase price, 60 marks of Finkenaugen, was paid in cash. Previously, the land belonged to the nobleman Hennikus Winanz, who, however, returned the property with all its rights to the Wedels.



These so-called Bolt hides were also precisely identified: four hides lay behind the mill, one hide was located on the right at the end of the village on the road to Stibow, and the last two hides lay on this side of the inn in the direction of Tütz. This document is one of the oldest in the Deutschkroner Land region and is therefore of great historical value because it also lists the vassals of the Tütz lordship at that time as witnesses. The following are mentioned: Sukow, Babelow, Zadelow, Tidike Runge Jr., Henning, Winanz, Libebotch, Wlatow, and Grape.



A son of the vassal Bolt became a clergyman and donated Strahlenberg to the church in 1338. The village was heavily devastated by border wars, leaving 14 hides of land uncultivated. Strahlenberg was insolvent. It is not listed in the church register of 1349. Half a century later, in 1397, the rector of the Tütz church reached another agreement with the citizen Bolt from Tütz regarding the aforementioned donation. This agreement later led to the establishment of the "Marienkessel" foundation.



In 1413, a Smolentine von Strahlenberg is mentioned, presumably a vassal of the Wedell family. In 1543, Strahlenberg is described as a vassal estate of the Wedell family of Tütz. In 1559, the Goltzen family owned a share of the Strahlenberg estate. In 1565, Riediger Wedell is mentioned as Lord of Strahlenberg, Mellentin, Stibow, Machlin, Sindermater, and Lubsdorf. Besides the two main branches—the Tütz and Friedland Wedells—this was a Protestant branch. In 1613, the share of the estate reverted to the Tütz estate, but the Wedells granted it to the widow of Chr. Bolt, née Billerbek. In 1616, the Strahlenberg estate was owned by Ursula Blankenburg. She was married first to Ludwig Wedell and second to a nobleman named Wiloslawski. Wiloslawski was still residing at Strahlenberg in 1629.



In 1633, Johann Ernst Wedell, on a journey to Küstrin—apparently to join the Swedish army—was ambushed by Christof Wedell near Flathe and remained at Strahlenberg. This led to a complex and politically charged process. In the same year, a new contract was also drawn up with the miller.



Soon afterward, the Wedell family, as elsewhere, bought back the vassal estates and imposed even harsher labor on their subjects, as evidenced by the numerous village privileges in Tütz. Strahlenberg also received such a privilege after the collapse of Polish rule in 1772.



After 1772, the noble estate was leased out; it comprised seven hides. The tenant had free fishing rights in the Großbartsee lake. In the village, there were two free hides, one belonging to the village headman and the other to the miller. Furthermore, there were 11.5 hides subject to rent or corvée labor, with a total of 25 hearths.



The Tütz line of lords died out. The daughters married Polish noblemen. One daughter moved to Marzdorf, to which Strahlenberg also belonged. The so-called Marzdorf Key belonged to Franziska von Krzcika. Frederick II was not particularly concerned with preserving the nobility and their landed property. He viewed with particular suspicion the nobles in the formerly Polish territories who resided in both Poland and Prussia and consumed the land. Thus, every year, the assessment of the vassal tables included information about these Polish nobles, among whom we find Frau von Krzcika, the owner of the Marzdorf Key, in 1780. The wealth of the nobility declined significantly in the following years. This affected not only the Polish but also the German nobility. Estates, after centuries in one family, changed hands. A new spirit of the times was emerging, and the first signs of disintegration became apparent. The Marzdorf Key split in 1817 among the von Grabski brothers and subsequently dissolved. The separation led to the dissolution of the villages, leaving only the outlying farms directly belonging to the castle. After the dissolution of the Tützer estate, Strahlenberg remained part of the Stibber complex. The regulation of peasant affairs in 1822 involved one freeholder, one mill owner, one free blacksmith, one free farmer, one free cottager, and five cottagers. These constituted the village from then on. The noble estate, however, remained part of the Stibber association under the name Neu-Strahlenberg.
